Andi Soós is a curator, writer and researcher based in Budapest. She holds a master’s degree in design theory from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest and a curatorial degree from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. She has worked at the Ludwig Museum – Museum of Contemporary Art in Budapest, the Hungarian National Gallery and as a curator participated in the projects of tranzit.hu – Contemporary Art Association.

Currently she is a PhD candidate in Design Culture Studies at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. In her doctoral research she is working with the oeuvre of Hungarian architect, stage designer and artist László Rajk. She focuses on Rajk’s experimental urban projects, conceptual architecture and public art pieces. Her aim is to place Rajk’s oeuvre in the context of Hungarian and international art and connect his work to international trends in theoretical thinking about architecture.

In her curatorial projects, she explores the potential of micro-structures, alternative lifestyles, human interactions in architectural environments and their influence on larger scale social settings. She is investigating the political potential of the personal as well as the role of intimate relationships in the resistance to social norms and political pressure
